People,
I have recently finished my SCWCD exam and am not sure what I should do next - architect or developer certification. The one thing about developer certification I didn't like about is that there has a lot of GUI designing involved which I may not use later. Which is to say the knowledge that I gain in the process may not prove to be of any good for me in my career. I have looked at the objectives of architect exam and they looked very interesting. But developer exam involves actual designing and makes your feet really wet. One of my colleagues who has done his developer's exam and now in the second stage of architect exam has of the opinion that although it( architect's exam) has no prerequisites one has to do the developer exam before doing the architect's exam. I am leaning towards that idea. But I know people here have varied experiences. I request all of you to add your opinions and experiences which are invaluable for me.
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any kind of advice.

Vasu

These days XML is quite hot in the market. So you might want to consider IBM's XML certification.

I liked working on developer test. To me, project experience is always more helpful. It also takes a while compared to the other tests.
