I think you can try SCWCD to examine whether you master all knowledge in Sun's Java 2 Web Component Developement!

Please see the JAVA[tm] TECHNOLOGY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PATH.
The Java Programmer Certification is a prerequisite for the others.

I think go for SCJP first this will help to boost ur confidence and which is pre requisite for another exam. So I suggest that go for SCJP first then go for SCWCD

Hello,
Yes. It would be good if you take up the SCJP exam first. This will boost your exam and it really needs lots of concentration. I am sure you are already aware of the concepts, but this exam does make you almost perfect. You begin to think like a compiler.
And if you are 1.2 certified, there is a upgrade exam available too.
I got the following list from the Sun web site called SunEd Web Page
=================================================
JAVA[tm] TECHNOLOGY EXAM OBJECTIVES
Sun Certified Programmer for Java[tm] 2 Platform 1.2
Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform 1.4
Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform 1.4 Upgrade Exam
Sun Certified Developer for Java 2 Platform
Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE[tm])
Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology
=================================================
All the very best !
Cheers,
gurucharan(SCJP)
