I took my exam yesterday and was suprised to recieve a score of 95%.
Thanks a lot Kathy and Bert, without your book I had surely forgot important areas and got confused but the tricky questions.
This was my way of preparing for the exam:
  • 5 years of Java at univercity
  • Reading Kathy's and Berts book ones
  • Doing some questions from the books CD
  • Doing all questions in book the days before exam (rereading chapters when I answered falsely)
  • And, ofcourse, spending time here on javaranch, learning from others questions and experience


    • Thanks Kathy for helping me avoid all traps in the exam-questions. It felt great spooting the traps.

    I think my next plan is either the developer exam or the web developer exam. I have ordered a web developer book and until it arrives I will read the last chapters in my current book.
    Any ideas which way to go?

    You mean as in choosing b/w web and developer exam ? I think the web exam is easier.
