Just passed SCJP 1.4 with 95%.
I have 4 years Java experience and never thought I need SCJP until my company wants me to have an IBM WebSphere Studio certificate. To obtain WebSphere certificate, both IBM test 286 and SUN certificate (test CIW 532 or SCJP 1.4) are required. I didn't spend much time to prepare the SCJP test. Just quickly went through Java Specification and did some Dan's mock exams.
Thanks Dan! Your mock exams are a little more tricky than the actual test and it helped a lot.
I wonder how long it takes to get the certificate from SUN after the test. My company really wants it now.

Congrats!
You must be an extremly excellent coder and be detail-oriented. Without rigorous preparation, it is not easy to pass with 95% even for an experienced programmer.

Thanks, guys.
I haven't received the certificate yet. I checked my credit card today and no money has been charged. SUN doesn't wanna me to pay ? :-)
I wonder how long it's gonna take to get the certificate after passing test.

Hi Bred,
Congratulations on passing the exam ! That is a wonderful score ! You should be getting the certificate soon. They post it out of Utah for US residents . I got it within a week of passing the exam .
And to get the logo I would suggest going to https://www.certmanager.net/~sun_s/login.html and posting a query to Sun's Customer Support on their FAQ's section. You will get it in a day or two by email then. This is only after you have signed and sent the logo agreement and waited a week !
Good Luck and Congratulations !
