How well do people score in general on the SCJP exam?

I'm studying for the SCJP exam right now. I've taken a bunch of certification exams for other products before and, compared to those, the SCJP exam seems pretty tough. It's taking me longer to prepare than I expected, but I figure that's okay because the certification will mean more when I get it. But how much more? I'm starting to get curious about how well other people do on the SCJP exam in general.
I think this forum is a good start, but I suspect that the people who post here don't reflect the greater population of people who take the exam. First of all, people who hang around the JavaRanch probably score higher than average. Second, I'm assuming that people are more likely to post their scores if they do really well.
What I would really like to see is a chart with a bell curve that says, "this many people score between 90% and 100%, this many people score between 80% and 89%," and so on. If I could find some statistics that said what the average score was or how many people passed the first time they took the exam, that would be a good start.
Ideally, the information would come from a reliable source, like Sylvan Prometric, or Kathy Sierra, or Bert Bates. If I can't have that, I will settle for some kind of survey that tries to take a fair sample of everyone who takes the test.
Eventually, I would like to tell my boss that I did well on the exam. He does't program in Java at all, so it would mean more if I could tell him that I scored in a certain percentile compared to everyone else or give him some indication of how hard the exam was. If I just say, "the exam was really hard," it won't mean very much.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Andres. That's just the kind of thing that I was looking for. I still wish I could get statistics from some kind of official source, but since you are a ranch hand, and since the JavaRanch has a lot of well connected people, and since no one seems to know of an official source, I'm going to assume that the information simply isn't available anywhere.

Not sure if I have heard of any Generals taking the SCJP. Now I am sure there are some privates and captains that have taken it, but I can't comment on their scores, as that would threaten national security.
