Hi friends,

Today I got my SCJD results. The results came after 3 weeks of my essay exam. I am happy that all the 5 points I lost were in GUI as I am not a GUI expert. I uploaded the assignment after 4 months from the initial download. However the actual work I did on the assignment is less than a month. Following Max's book made my life easier.
Moving on to other certifications. All the best for those doing their certifications.
Thanks,
..BCJP,SCJP,SCWCD,SCJD [ I desperately want to add SCEA here ]

Hi Monika
You will see plenty of forums here at JavaRanch for whichever certification you are going for (or even just to discuss Java / technology in general without going for certification).
In each of those forums, you will usually find a link to the frequently asked questions (FAQ) - most FAQs have a list of recommended books.
I don't have any of Patrick Naughton's four books, so I don't know how good they are, or how well they relate to certification.
Good luck
Regards, Andrew
