Yesterday 12/8/2003 I passed SCJP1.4 scoring 95%
I used KnB book and it was very helpfull I also used "Thinking in Java"
The Mock exams I used were :
1-JQPlus :scored (avg. for 11 tests) 81%
2-Dan's exam: 70%
3-Marcus Green's exam 1.4: 86%
Taking as much mocks as you can will improve your skills very much, and will give you more confidence. But to have the greatest benefit from doing the mocks you have to check all the questions which you answered them incorrectly and make a note about the topic that you missunderstood.then categorize these notes and always append new notes every time you do new mocks so the resulting document must be your last thing you revise before the exam.
One last thing that you must do a lot of code, write programs about every topic even if you feel confident that you understand it.
Lastly I would like to thank KnB for their great book, Dan and Marcus for their great mock exams and all javaranchers that answered my questions.
I've already ordered SCWCD voucher so I will start preparing for it whithin days but I want to ask that is SCWCD voucher is valid for one year like SCJP because I plan to take the exam after about 2 months.
Good luck for all.

Alexan -
WOW !!! Great score!!!
Glad the book helped.
How did you do on the mocks in the book?
Also, FYI, the SCWCD is going to be updated pretty soon. The new version of the exam will be out probably early next year, so you might want to wait
