I passed my exam on Oct. 12 and it was barely (frankly, I neglected to study enough on threads and lord there were a TON of them on my exam HINT HINT!!) I scored a 54% but like I said I got like 20% on my Threads and that tore my score up because there were so many of them. I studied for a week using the Sierra and Bates book, you literally will not pass this exam with out this book it is essential! It really goes into great depth concerning how the questions will be answered. I wish I would have had more time to study to get a higher grade but I guess it is a pass/fail test so it doesn't matter.

Congrats, Rick, and welcome to JavaRanch.
I passed with a high score, yet I think the main thing I learned is that there is so much more to Java than I had ever thought. The test showed my not only how much I know, but how much I don't know.
So, yep, I'll be there studying too. I'd like to take on the SCJD exam next and I'll need all the study time I can get. I wish I could get more Java projects in work, but I'm mostly assigned to COBOL/JCL (Yuck!) and C++ (which I kindof like).
Good luck in your Java adventures!

there are still timeS I realize something I don't know about Java.
Java is a beautiful language that deserve constant study to know/utilize it better.
