Hi all, i passed the scbcd today with a score of 94%. I used the following materials : 1) the specs EJB 2.0(read twice) 2) the Monson-Haefel book (read once) 3) AND two softs : whizlab and softSCBCD I have some comments about these softs : First, these softs really helped me in finding ou my weaknesses (EJB-QL for instance) and in getting used to the mock exams-type. The best way to really prepare you to the exam is to test, test and test again mocks exams. Some pros and cons of these softs : 1) Whizlab: - pros: - questions close to what you get in the real exam (for instance the question about finding a EJB-QL query, given an abstract schema). - good explanations of answers. - cons :- unstability of the soft. I got crashes in the middle of a session. Weird that this soft is implemented in VB for a java certif! - was quite tough to install : took 4-5 days to get the soft. Very strong security procedures... - the price for the number of questions you get. 2) softSCBCD : - pros: - more than 500 questions... - an excellent Tutorial. - quick to install : i got it 30 minutes after buying it! - cheap (17 $) - cons : - questions a little further than the questions in the real exams...especially the drag'n'drop questions. - there were mistakes in some questions and explanations of answers were too short. Both softs were helpful anyways.
Now let's go for the SCEA, hoping that this architect certif will update the EJB version from 1.0 to 2.0 next year. EJB 1.0 is a middle-age technology... Thanks for this forum, this was great Big Fred. [ November 18, 2003: Message edited by: Frdric Donnet-Monay ]
Hello Fredric, Congratulations !! We appreciate your feedback and will be soon coming up with a new version. We have already fixed the problem with the four questions that was reported by some customers. Regarding explanation: That is a new feedback and will definitely evaluate the explanations once again. We will appreciate if you can send us your detailed feedback at email@example.com Thanks once again! SoftLearn Systems
Howdy Mr./Ms. Softlearn Systems... As you may know, we don't have a lot of rules out here on the wild frontier, but we do have a naming policy, and I reckon we'll send some cows after you if you don't change it... So head on over to: naming policy and give yourself a name we can call you by when you start a fight in the saloon or insult the moose (which he takes VERY personally). cheers, Kathy
Hello Kathy, I am doing fine. Thanks. I am really sorry but frankly i wasn't aware of the naming policy. I assure you that i won't be fighting here and atleast i won't dare to insult the moose ever best regards manoj www.softlearn-systems.com
