Kathy and Bert's book certainly helped a lot. Thanks to both of you for writing the book (a book that actually makes you stay awake and want to read more) and maintaining this site. My final score was the same as the mock test results - however I found the actual test to be slightly tougher than the mock tests, particularly in the area of threads. I got 1 wrong out of 9 I encountered on my exam. I started my java studies with "Thinking in Java" (Bruce Eckel) and found his "Hands On Java" seminar CD immensely useful in learning java. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the ins and outs of java. Took as many mock tests as possible off the net (Maha Anna - thanks for being so thoughtful in sharing your resources!). Also referred to JLS book on sun's site (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jls/second_edition/html/j.title.doc.html) when in doubt. Good luck to those who are preparing for the SCJP. - ortimuS
