Hi guys,
I am in my final sem Engg. in chennai. I plan to take my SCJP before completion. I need a whole lot of info.. on the deatailed syllabus , books that i need to cover for SCJP 1.4. Does it make any sence taking SCJP 1.2 now??? How much time would I need to prepare.? Is going to classes necessary? I am a beginner in java.. but very good in c/c++ (oops). Please help.

I think if u post such message in the SCJP forum, u have more chance to get the suggestions from others... If u got the right forum for your question, then that's it. U will surely get a reply out there...
The famous books for SCJP 1.4 in the market are Kathy & Bert's book and Khalid's book... The two books got different approach...
For the time required to prepare, it really depends on ur learning skill... But if u got strong background in C++, then I guess at most two months would be enough...
