I was able to pass the SCBCD exam last week with a score of 71% using the following materials:
1. Richard Monson-Haefel's Mastering JavaBeans - 3rd Edition.
2. Most chapters, but not all, from Head First
EJB (the chapter on beans going bad was especially useful).
3. The EJB specification as a reference only (I tried to read the whole thing but thought I was going to lose my mind before giving up).
A
word of advice/caution: Be sure to take the Head First EJB practice exam several days before your scheduled exam date. It is significantly harder than the real exam (for good reason). Don't panic if you get a very low score on this practice exam and still have plenty of knowledge on tap to pass the real one. Not knowing how many choices are correct makes the practice exam very difficult. The clear identification of the number of correct choices for each question works in your favor on exam day. Good luck!
