Yesterday 12/01/04, I passed SCBCD with 98%. (Got 69/70)
Preparation Time : 3 months(part-time)
Exp with EJB : 8 months, EJB1.1 almost 3 yrs ago.
Resources:
1. Read HF EJB, twice.
2. Read Enterprse Java Beans - RMH(O'reilly series)
3. Read EJB2.0 Spec once.
Mock exams:
1. SCBCD Mock - Soft-Learn Systems. Bought this for 19 USD. I averaged about 80-85% percent in the 5 mock exams. This is a good mock software for
the price. There are around 10-11 errors, but that is OK.

2. Free mock exams at http://www.jdiscuss.com
I got 80% in Kathy's final mock exam.Memorizing the important tags in ejb-jar.dtd, the EJB2.0 API helped me a lot and also the life-cycle diagrams and the "bean things that you can do in the bean methods for the different beans".
Three years ago, I was told that Enterprise Java Beans is a complex subject and it is not meant for the faint-hearted. Well.....Kathy & Bert have definitely proved it wrong. By the way, I am a strong man.
I managed to read the EJB2.0 Specs!
Thanks to Kathy and Bert for taking the pains to write such a fantastic book. The book reminded me of my school teachers, when I was a kid.
This is one of the best technical books that I have ever come across. It's great fun to learn EJBs.
Last but not the least, thanks to all the lovely ranchers who kept me motivated all the time with their questions & answers.....!
