I guess this is the place to brag about the scores. I just passed SCJP with 100%!

Thanks to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates for writting an excellent book and Dan Chisholm for making such tough mock exams!
Here's a studying tip: the best place to study/take mock exams is New York City subway! If you can get most questions right standing up, with the train shacking and a crazy guy next to you mumbeling something about world domination (ok, that one I made up, I don't remember what he mumbeled), you'll pass SCJP easily.

Thank you for such warm replies. I couldn't have done it without the Saloon regulars like you, who provided great help with my studies.

I started my mock questions In Sofia public transportation and finished them on a Mississippi river bridge

Yuriy,
Funny, you mentionned the New York City Subway - I do a lot of
reading during my daily commute (avg 1h 20mns each way). I am
preparing for the SCJP 1.4 exam. Not too long ago, I notice
a guy who was also studying out of the K&B book. I wonder if that
was you.
Congrats!!!

guys i'm seiously thinking of moving over to genetics so that i can develop some way to clone these sort of species (!) wat say u block head ? i wouldn't mind cloning bert n kathy too ... they have got this amazing style of explaining java! with them java has become a -" sit by the fireplace n listen grandma telling us a story ".
keep it up ... the world of java needs people like u .

Cant seem to understand why people dig up such old posts and misguide others!! More baffling is the silence of all the moderators!

Firstly, I was not aware that the thread was that old!!!

Its only the subject of "100% success" that attracts a newbie like me to read them!! Hence was a little curious on the exam cleared with such great success

Reading "threads of success" just boosts up some level of confidence while preparing for the certifications...and its the same reason I have been reading them for past some days.

I was a little confused as to how this would misguide a person...and if has done I apologize!!

And lastly is there any policy that old threads should not be read or questioned on?? Then why are they still available for reading

- Mel

Melanie,

You never misguided anyone but you too were misguided....and thats what I meant. Another thing is that those preparing for the exam might send personal mails asking for tips or clarifying doubts, eagerly anticipating replies and could be disappointed, since the person in question,Yuriy Grechukhin,
might not reply (considering his number of posts, just 41,over the past 2 yrs). Could this thread be locked please!!!

shankar,
You give too many suggestions with out being asked.
I see nothing to complain about a 2 yr old thread being digged out.
If not the one who started it, others would reply.... any problem there.....
