Hello All,
I passed SCBCD with 88% today. The HF EJB is very good for beginners.(Thanks!) Apart from this book I read - (1) XML Deployment Descriptor chapter, Appendix A,B from Richard Monson Haefel book.
(2) Valentin Crettaz's -Deployment Descriptor (very nice)
(3) Exception Handling - Eileen Sauer.
(4) SoftSCBCD mock exams.
Thank you all,
Regards,
Rashmi

Rashmi-
Firstly, congrats on a great job done
I just wanted to know more about your preparation efforts (approx no. of days you prepared for the exam and the average no. of hours per day). Just wanted some kind of a benchmark and also some motivation to get going. FYI I am also an EJB beginner.
Thanks,
Arun.

Thanks everyone.
Arun: I spent about 3 months studying (not full time), I got my SCJP in Jan'04. Initially I was quite motivated, did go through the book - HF EJB - to get an idea what EJB is all about.
After that I took a break, didn't read much for 3-4 weeks. Then again, I wanted to finish it off so did put in quite some time(approx-6-7 hrs) last month itself. Read the book again, took mock exams. I didn't go through the specs, but I think that would definitely help get better scores. Good Luck.
Regards,
Rashmi

Thankyou. I am not sure if I can really answer that question but I would say If you haven't looked at JSP/Servlets - take a look at it - kind of overview. Decide based on your interests. Good Luck!
Regards,
Rashmi
