FYI I also didn't implement the 48hr thing - but got no problem with marking. So it looks more and more like you were unlucky
I guess you don't need to think about it anymore

I had record level locking, with a notify (not notifyAll) on unlock with one Data class per Client. I also used a LockManager class to produce the Objects that I locked on, that I shared between Data classes.
I know others has this approach and didn't get the full locking so I made damn sure I talked about what steps I took to avoid potential deadlock as this was the only thing I could see that others may have not talked about.

I took the exam on the 26th April and got the Result today (5th May) !!!
