I'm happy that i've found out from the certmanager site today that i've passed the exam. I'm pleasantly surprised with the score too:

This is provided to give you per-section feedback on your strengths. The maximum possible score is 400; the minimum to pass is 320. General Considerations (maximum = 100): 99 Documentation (maximum = 70): 69 O-O Design (maximum = 30): 29 GUI (maximum = 40): 39 Locking (maximum = 80): 73 Data store (maximum = 40): 40 Network server (maximum = 40): 40
I want to thank everyone who have contributed to the SCJD forum, from which I've learnt much, not only the knowledge required to pass the exam, but much more.
In particular, i would like to thank Andrew Monkhouse, Philippe Maquet, Jim Yingst, Vlad Rabkin, Jay Bromley, Ken Kreb, Jacques Bosch, George Marinkovich, and Max Habibi. Some of them may never read this mail. But thanks to them.
See u great guys at another forum, Derek

Well done, Derek. I'm waiting now... how long since you submitted?

To Andrew: you have been a great help to me. I owed much of my results to you.
To Ben: I submitted my assignment July 1. Got my results July 19. So it's about 2 working weeks. I did my essay (Part 2) on May 31 because my voucher for Part 2 expired on that date. I wrote Sun, and they gave me the green light to do Part 2 first. It was ok for me because by then i only need to do fine-tune my documentation (javadoc, user-guide, and choices.txt) and some minor codes change - no big design changes. I made sure the assignment submitted was consistent with what i wrote in Part 2.
I made an 'obvious' error in my user-guide. In the instructions.html, there was no instruction how we should name your submission jar (the jar that contains the runme.jar, codes, documents, etc). So I took the liberty to name it scjd.jar, and documented it as such in the userguide. Then when i wanted to upload, the instructions in the upload specifically asked us to name the jar as scjda-XXX.jar where XXX is our Testing ID number. I renamed my submission jar from scjd.jar to scjda-XXXX.jar, but forgotten to update my userguide.
I think this instruction should be in the instructions.html, but anyway life is like that.
I plan to take the SCBCD next. So I'll see u guys in that forum soon.
