Hi All,

Today I cleared my SCJP 1.4 with 85%.
I will like to share the steps that I followed:

1 I read K&B book.
2 I read Khalid Moughal
3 Solved the Mock tests available. especially Marcus green and Dan's tests. But I will suggest you all to solve these after you read the above 2 books carefully.
4 definitely take some programming experience.

I will continue to participate in this group and will try to help you all aspirants

Rads,

Congratulations!

I agree that the Marcus Green exams should be taken last to measure your preparedness for the exam. In contrast, I always suggest using my single topic exams while a person works through a study guide chapter-by-chapter. In other words, my exams should be used as a workbook to accompany any study guide or Java fundamentals textbook.

Hi

I have cleared my SCJP . Now I am really confused of what next.
I have a work ex of 2+. out of which 6 months in Java.

Now I am not sure which certification to give next. I mean

1 EJB certification (SCBCD)
or
2 Web Component certification (SCWCD)

Actually Past 6 months I have been working on Struts as well.

Can anyone Pls advise me which exam will be more beneficial for me...

Radhika ,
Congrats on a good score . I feel you should go for IBM 484 certification if you have real interest in J2ee architecture and developement .
I feel SUN certifications are too much Specs oriented and bookish types whereas IBM ones are more pratical oriented and based on real time design issues . IBM 484 exam covers both EJB and Web componets and also J2ee architecture and design patterns . I am sure you will benifit from that .
see the objectives :
