Did my exams this afternoon. Had 70 questions instead of 69, but in the final exam score, it was reflected as only 69 questions. Wonder why.

Anyway, had a fair mix of questions from all topics. Did extremely bad for EL & standard JSP actions (40% & 50% respectively). I wonder which were the 10 questions that I missed... guess I won't be able to know

Would like to thank everyone in Javaranch, especially the folks in WCC forum. You guys (& gals) been a great help!

Not forgetting Bryan, Kathy & Bert for the wonderful HF book. Now that I cleared my exam, I'm going to take my sweet time to slowly enjoy the book again. It certainly cleared a lot of my doubts & improved my understanding for the various topics.

The final mock exam was a nightmare though Did it an hour before my actual exam & I barely passed. It was certainly much tougher than the actual one!

Good luck to the rest of ranchers preparing for the exam. Grab the HF book. Its a must

As most people, I was using the SCWCD Exam Kit for 1.3 until I knew that there was 1.4, so I did most of the review questions in that book.

Also, I did about 3 free mock exams in JDiscuss.

The rest of the stuffs that I did was in the HF book. They're very helpful.

Awesome Cheng!

I think you're the first person to report a comparison between the real exam and the book's final mock! Thank you for your report.

Just came back from

To be very honest, I was dead worried about having to fork out the money for another voucher to retake the actual exam after I took the mock.

The mock is definitely much tougher, partly due to the 'choose all that apply'. In the actual when I knew exactly how many answers were right, I could use elimination. Also, the actual questions were less tricky. In the mock, I didn't do well because I didn't read the questions & solutions carefully enough...

Thanks for the great book!

Congratulations!! And that's a GREAT score (we *know* how people are scoring on that exam).

Cheers and thanks for helping out with the book, too.
