I scored a 60% on my exam this morning and now I have to take it over again in two weeks. I had studied for two weeks and had no prior experience with any web components, java or other. I figured going into it that I wouldn't pass, but today was the day I had to take the exam because I was on a deadline and it was expiring. It appears that I am the first person on this site to fail. I wonder if this is the case, or if others have failed and were too shy to write about it.

Andrew

We all fail at some point in life. This is after all an exam. You have not extensively worked in this technology where there is so much to learn. Keep learning and certifications would follow naturally to you.

It appears that I am the first person on this site to fail.

Certainly not. Several people have posted their failures including myself.

I wonder if this is the case, or if others have failed and were too shy to write about it.

It is human nature not to brag about failures. But as a note of inspiration, let us remember that most failures are followed by pass soon after.

Best wishes.

Hi,

You passed the SCJP as a prerequisite for this exam so you're doing well. But what did you mean about no Java experience except for two weeks study for this exam?

You are so close that you will no doubt pass next time. Best wishes. It sounds like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to study for only two weeks; it must be like pulling an "all-nighter" - but for 2 weeks

It seems like as time goes on there is intense competition to get a certification in the shortest possible time. Back a few years ago it was considered "fast" to get a certification in 3 months.

Just out of curiousity, are there employers who put onerous deadlines on employees to get certified in very, very short timeframes? I haven't had that experience but I'd be interested to hear if that's a growing trend.

Cheers.

Me and my frend had a an asshole of a boos. My frend a very smart girl went to IBM conference (3 years ago with our boos). Well she didnt know that he registered her for scwcd untill 30 minutes before the test.

Well she passed .

Last month I sow her and she said that she was postponing scea for a year (she works a lot etc...) and she asked for extention ... well she didnt get it so she prepared first part for 3 nights .. and she passed that too.

I wish to be like that (fat chance).
