Hi Ranchers,
Finally I completed my SCBCD exam today and scored 95% . Here are the things I did.

1. Read HFE book multiple times and became very much familiar with EJB.
2. Posted some answers for topics and asked a lot of questions and referred lot of posts for any doubts.
3. I bought softSCBCD exam and EJBPlus exams and practiced just before the exams.

Best of luck everyone.

I have the following questions. Appreciate if anyone could answer.

1. Do you guys mention the certification % in your resume? ( If it is too great like more than 90%)
2. What do i get from Sun? How do i get the Logo?
3. Is there any expiration date for this certificate?

Thanks Bates,
I should say your book is very interesting to read and puts me right to the point with different style. I was sure I will pass the exam with flying colors when i completed your book. I took 2 weeks to complete your book with all exercises. Finally I referred the EJB SPEC to see anything i missed for exam. But wow, I covered 99% just by reading your book. I bought all of your books even though I have plenty of experience in Java related areas. Thanks for helping Java community! Great job. Keep it up.

Congratulations. Very nice score.
Aswer your questions:
1) No, I do not mention the certification % in my resume.
2) Wait, Sun will send you the docs and the procedure to get the logo.
3) There is not expiration date.

I just passed the SCBCD yesterday with a 95%, so I thought I'd just tack on to this thread ... The #1 factor for me was my Head First book. I started it about 3 weeks ago with no prior EJB experience, and this book was enough to prepare me very well. I read it three times, once thoroughly and twice hopping around to where I wanted to focus. I also used ejbcertificate.com -- I love that website! I wish the questions weren't recycled quite so often, but it was still a great resource for trying different tests and finding my weak areas.

Passed the SCBCD developer with 92% marks on Saturday.

I used the Head First EJB and read all the specs for all the exam objectives.

Some useful tips.

1> read the Head First EJB book...its a good book though they have some typo mistakes in the book..which they will hopefully clear in the next edition.

2> read the specs...Head First alone is not enough..you have to read the specs if you really wanna understand and score good marks.

Hope that helps

Congrats to all the top scorers,

I passed my SCWCD exam today. I found that I didnt have enough time to review all my answers. Luckily I scored 92% (as I had taken good time while answering). However, I would like to review all the answers at least once to make sure I am right. I am onto SCBCD now.

My Question to all the top scorers is : In SCBCD, did you get time to review your answers ? Did you use any strategy ?

This would be very helpful for me.

Regards,

Raj
