I think this was the most difficult Sun exam I ever made.

Before the test, I had the same fear when taking the Programmer exam. The questions were so intelligent and the time was so short. When taking the exam, some people outside the test room were talking so outloud that I had to ask them to stop speaking for a while when I was taking the exam.

When the time was over, it seemed that it took an eternity for printing the test results. But finally the outcome was ok. I had 81% for the questions, 39 questions answered correctly, from a total of 48 questions. "Not bad", I thought.

I had no experience working as a Java architect, even though I am an expert Java and Delphi programmer.

I studied many books, including the GoF (Gamma et al), Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide (Allen/Bambara), Teach Yourself J2EE in 21 Days (Sams), Head First EJB (Sierra/Bates), Design Patterns Java Workbook (Steven John Metsker), Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Sierra/Bates) and SCWCD Exam Study Kit. The experience using Java, Delphi and mainframe also helped.

I also have some official Sun courses, like Architecting and Designing J2EE Applications (SL-425), Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML (OO-226) and Java Programming Language Workshop (SL-285). They were very useful.

The experience from C# and Sybase database were useful too .

Lets drink a beer -
