I just cleared the exam with 85%!! The exam was probably a little more difficult than what I had expected. But all is well that ends well. I was especially worried, since I had studied from 'Deshmukh' (old 080 version) and only last week when I went on to get the voucher, did I realize that there is no 080 available! So I borrowed Headfirst from one of my friends, and studied for the *additional* portion from Headfirst. I am glad I am done with the exam! I guess I'll probably start preparing for by BCD now

Hey Thanks All for your wishes )

Baiju,

Info abt my Cert Prep:

BOOK: As I mentioned earlier, I initially studied for my 080 version from the 'Deshmukh' book and later I had to prepare for the additional portion (tagfiles, simpleTag etc) from the HeadFirst book. So I would recommend the 'HEADFIRST' book for your exam. I dont think the new 'Deshmukh' book is out yet. Anyways, even if u keep the exam aside, the Headfirst book is a real cool book to read. I was so impressed that I am planning on reading the Headfirst WCD book just for fun, although I am already done with the exam! The 'Headfirst' collection is something all of us should buy.

PREP TIME: I studied for less than two months with a 8-to-5 job routine.

PREPARATION: You can read a lot of tips on the WCD forum, along with links for mock exams. As for me, I gave some jdiscuss mock exams, apart from the 'Deshmukh' and 'Headfirst'(65%) Mocks. Give the HF mock just before the exam when you are completely prepared. Your score would be around
"20% + your HF mock score"

Other than all this, I can't think of anything else right now. I have posted my exam-experience on the WCD forum. Let me know if you have any other specific Qs.

Asmita

I am sorry for the wrong expression!!

I meant:

Hey All, Thanks for your wishes

Not:

I have the same situation. Studied for 1.3, then when I finished, I found out only 1.4 is available. My voucher's deadline is fast approaching. Oh well, hope I do as well as you
