My advice is to read the spec. thoroughly. Yes it is long but will really clear all your doubts.

Kathy's book is good, if you want to score in 70's or 80's but to get a high score, spec. is the way. Also, take the mock exams as much as you can.

Wordings and meanings are more clear than the mock exams but you still have to know the topics well.

I only glanced the spec. as I spent only a couple of days on it.

I will try to read the specs after HFEJB ...

I was told that we can concentrate only on certain parts which are related to the objectives for this exam.

How many times did you read the spec ?

Yes, you need to keep your focus on the objectives for this exam. But reading the specs gives the clarity and confidence you need to clear all your doubts. You may need to spend may be a week to go through the specs.

Spec for EJB is written very well unlike the J2SE one, which look like a law book.
