Hi There,

I gave my scjp a few years back and have not been in touchw ith the Certification community for a while.

When did you give your SCJP 1.5 beta test. How much did you pay for it ?
And is it still available ?

Regardds,

Hoping that can get 70-80% as the passing rate is a bit low.

Not much. I had met with accident and had to take bed rest, so could not prepare anything. I just used my experience when taking the exam. I leave it to God.

It seems like the results are registred in prometric (but not I7 database), my status has changed from Tested to Pass for the SCJP5.0 Beta

Thats right, The status used to be "Tested" not "Pending" This made my day, I was realy insecure about the outcome of the beta.

Anyway, a pass is a pass.

However, we might need to wait for a month to get the score as based on past experiences, the I7 database does not contain the score.

We need to wait for the score report from Prometric.

Hi Ranchers,

Congrats to those who passed the beta test.

Can someone tell me if this beta exam is still available. And how do beta tests go. Do we pay for them ? I can't see it listed on sun certification page.

please help,

Raj

Beta exam is not available . It was announced in Dec 2004, I think.
 For SCjp 5.0 beta, candidates had to pay $49. The exam is live now.

The beta has been ended.

You can take SCJP Tiger by registered it via Prometric with exam code 310-0-55.

Thanks Nick,

So what happens when a new (beta) version of, say, SCWCD comes out. Can I (being a SCWCD) give that exam. And, do I pay for it. How do I get informed of it ?

Regards,

Raj

Is there any special forum here for announces? I saw SCJA annoucment on SCJP forum and took the survey, but what about other certs? The perspective of free vouchers is very attractive for the price of survey and taking beta...
