Yesterday I passed the Sun Certified Security Administrator exam with 71%. I found the exam to be very difficult, eventhough I've been dealing extensively with Solaris security at work over the past two years.

I used the new book by Chirillo and Danielyan. Though it is a good book, it is not sufficient to pass the exam. Anyone taking this should thoughly know all security-related config files and the man pages for security-related commands.

There's no single technology that guarantees longevity in the IT field. It seems important to acquire a lot of certs so you can tailor your resume to whatever needed for available jobs.
