Hello,

I would like to thank to Mr. Zaikin for his study guide. SCDJWS is not easy exam. I have been working on a WS project more than 1 year and preparing for the exam more than 6 months.
Another quite important book for me was J2EE Web Services by RMH.
And also thanks javaranch.com I could take appropriate steps for preparation.
I have also bought a test program for SCDJWS from Whizlabs. Every source of information was valuable, but the price for the program was for me quite high. Despite the fact I have already 5 certification, this one was the toughest. It was not problem to answer correctly, but the spread of exam is so great, you have to be really experienced WS developer. I have got enough experience and even so it was not so easy. I mean you have to take time to switch for instance from UDDI problematics to JAX-RPC and then back to WSDL and then to another objective and so on.

Whizlabs test program was quite useful but number of questions was not enough for me. There is one free exam, one practice exam and one final exam. I saw somewhere in the help file, that there could be 3 practice exams. I am not sure if it was just for illustrations purposes. I also found in some whizlabs question errors which could lead to wrong answer. For instance when you want to get BusinessLifeCycleManager you have to call via instance method like registryService.getBusinessLifyCycleManager and not like static method RegistryService.getBusinessLifeCycleManager. Static method does not exist of course. Read api documentation. It is of course logical. In general Whizlabs test program helped. You know, there is not specialized book for the SCDJWS. At the beginning of the year I wanted to buy SCWSD (strange but correct title, see Amazon.com). It was many times postponed.
IMHO the best preparation for the exam is :
1. position - Mr. Zaikin study guide (especially when you have lack of time)
2. position - The book J2EE Web Services from RMH

After the exam I realized that it would be also very very useful to buy test program from SUN.
Final note : Go to this exam if you are really experienced WS developer. I did so. Web Services is so many technologies you need time to play with them and to get to know with tricks caused by interoperability issues.
