I started studying about a week before Christmas and took the exam today. Overall, I am pretty happy with the score. Like many others, I chose the wonderful Sierra/Bates book as my sole study aid. I read through all 9 chapters first, stopping of course to complete the questions after each chapter. After I completed the book, I went back and re-read every 2 minute drill and redid every chapter's exam questions. That was pretty much my only studying.

Thanks to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates for a terrific study aid. I plan to pick up the Head First book for the SCWCD certification next.

Also, for those that want another opinion on whether to take the 1.4 or 1.5 exam, I also went through that dilemma. I chose 1.4 simply because at the time I bought the book, the new version wasn't out yet. If you aren't too confident in what you know, I would suggest starting with the 1.4 first and then take the 1.5 later since the 1.5 exam is supposed to be harder. Just my two cents.

Congrats Ben!

That's a fine score, and we're glad the book helped.
