Hi all...
with the help of all u extraordinarily knowledged people i managed to clear SCJP 1.4 last month with 80%.
I need ur guidance once again. I want your opinion on what next, scwcd or java beans??
whats easier, would take less preparation time and has a good variety of available study material and free mock exams?
Your suggestions are more than welcome.

Hi Nik,

I did both the SCWCD and SCBCD and found them both to be really useful. Ideal to get detailed knowledge of the technology. As for the difficulty, I found them both to be just as difficult.

When choosing the one to go for first, I would choose the certification that you are least comfortable with. In that way, the certification will have the most effect.

The SCJD is a lot of work, and probably less useful if you already have a lot of programming experience. The SCJD is certainly one of the more valued certifications because it actually proves you can write software properly. The SCJD was very useful for me to dive a little bit deeper into SWING and RMI and to get to know all the existing coding standards.

Cheers
Erik
