I don't know when my result came out because I was looking in the wrong database, but I sat my essay on 24 Jan, so not more than 10 days.

General Considerations (maximum = 100): 99 Documentation (maximum = 70): 70 O-O Design (maximum = 30): 30 GUI (maximum = 40): 37 Locking (maximum = 80): 80 Data store (maximum = 40): 40 Network server (maximum = 40): 40

I only found the developer forum after I had completed most of the assignment but found Andrews contributions very helpful to clarify a few issues I had doubts about.

I would actually say that I over did the assignment as I included GUI functionality to create and delete Records, but this may or may not have been the reason for the loss of the 3 marks. I also included menus and a toolbar.

I took quite a lot from a poster who received 400. In particular I felt he exemplified the less is more pardigm which led me to rewrite my documentation.

I think that the most important advice is to decide how you are going to architect the assignment and then make sure that you implement it properly. I spent most of my time trying to decide what it was they were exactly asking and how I would do it. Once you have crossed that hurdle then it is pretty much plain sailing.

I would recommend using this, which although I didn't find it till after I had submitted it threw up some warnings that I would prefer to have corrected first.
