With the help of this forum, the K&B book and whizlabs mock exams, I just score a pretty decent 94% !

Hi John,
Congrats .I am planning to SCJP next month .But I am in dilemma about which one I can choose in SCJP1.4 or SCJP1.5???

I am planning to take on march 31st and I have 35days in my hand .Is it possible for preparation ,I am working on Java past 1year and I know all the concepts.

Can you suggest me please about this.

Thanks in advance,

Rajendra.

I pick the 5.0 version because I like most of the new features: Generics, Enum, For-Each, etc.

It will probably add 1/2 of the total time (no more because there is also some topics that have been simplify) but for me it was a fun addition.

I cant tell you if you will have enough time. It depends of the number of hours / day, your current level and your learning capacity.
In my case, it takes me +- 100 hours (forum + book + mock exams + revision)

My java experience was not focus at this level of details. I have always work with an IDE and the philosophy for the coding in all the team I had work was simplicity. ( no switch case, no inner class, etc. )
