Well, what a week !

I was dumped from my job, I was told that my vouchers died that week (last week of March) so I tried and passed.
The scores ? Who cares given the circumstances ...

77% in SCEA part I

My impression is that this is an EASY high-level exam. Study time: 2 days.
(It is easy if you have enough background). Just did some tests, refreshed terminology and no time for more.

66% in SCWCD ...
Didn't have time to study some areas (HFSJ half-read). Study time: 3 days
(But this is a HARD exam) I would have prepared better if I had more time.
Highlights:
0% on Custom tag libraries (yup, had no time to deal with it ...)
100% on servlet model, web container model and session management
85% on JSP model
(I had the basics mastered)

IMHO, it is hard because there are too many minilanguages and techniques on web development (with Java or any other language) Thank God, it does not also include Struts (Shale) and JSF ...

The job? The job sucked! And I sucked for not having kicked them before ...

Cheers

This message is intended to help people that get a little anxious over certification. It is not that hard, unless you want to score over 90%. It is just the whole 80/20 stuff.

Congratulation Javier!!

I think you are awesome by taking two exam in a week and pass both.
I had done one awesome thing by taking an exam without studying and nailed it. I think it was luck but for SCEA, I am not very lucky. I took three times and got almost passing score.

Cheers,
Good score too!!

Good job, man! I had to study for two months on the SCBCD, and six weeks on the SCEA!

I hope you find something great!
