Hi All,

I passed the SCDJWS exam today with 81%.

Thank you all for your wonderful tips and suggestions.

Apart from the RMH book, the following were extremely useful -

- MZ's study guide and quiz. MZ's guide is very useful, especially in covering the details on BP 1.0 mandates, Security, Web Service Architecture and Design. Most of topics were covered to the point and covered very well
- http://www.xyzws.com/scdjws.do?cat=scdjws. Their exams are very good. And the topic that I found very good in this is JAXB)
- Whizlab's quiz
- Sun's Blue prints. The most important topic that I found useful here is "Service Endpoint Design"

Also, one more thing I would like to mention about the exam is - I finished the exam in 1 hr and 20 min. and did a quick review for five minutes and then ended the exam immediately because of my impatience. But after I came out I felt bad that if I had reviewed the answers thoroughly for the remaining time I might have been able to perform even better (or may be not). But, the point I trying to make is, please utilize the entire time allocated for the exam and do not do what I did and regret later.

Once again thank you very much.

Thanks
Ravi

Congratulations.

actually i bought RMH book, can you tell me how to read this books, it is full of information and contains load of information that sometimes i can't remember.
Are there some topics that we should avoid reading it? do you have experience in Web Services? how much it took to get the exam??

congratulation again and wish to get SCEA soon

Nizar Hussein,

This is what I did. I didn't set any time line for myself. I read the entire RMH book twice. That really helped me. Then I read MZ's Study guide. That made most of the concepts clear. And coming remembering part, it all depends individual's style. I remember things very well when I take quizzes or solve problems. So, I started taking mock tests. Also, whatever info I thought I would/could forget (like all these package names, namespaces, different exceptions thrown by different interfaces etc), I started writing down as I believe that writing down information will help you remember things better.

Hope that helps.

Wish all the best for your preparation.

Thanks
Ravi
