Dear friends/ranchers,
I cleared 1 month before scjp1.4 with 68%.

I have higher inclination for scjd than scwcd.
But one of my local senior says I should opt for scwcd.
I think I can clear scjd. According to my fello senior
scjd is tough .
only problem sun asks for big fee ie 400usd as all you know;
Will after investing 400usd in scjd fetch job to me software industry?
Or should I chase other exam like Oracle Certified Associate;which will cost me 250usd.

I am looking for job in java;even as enty level

I am MSc in mathematics just passed ;
I am not Engineering graduate;

I have vb6 ground. I feel java more
easy to understand. Hence shifted to java instead of dot net.
Just getting certification should not be like feather in cap.

your suggestion and criticism are welcomed.
Dear friends Help me;

Hi,

SCJP is given highest regard in the software industry. Infact my suggestion is that you start trying for your job keeping the SCJP logo in your resume. I think that is more than enough for getting a entry level job.

But as far as your carrier is concerned, what to choose next depends on the stream you are interested like

if GUI programming --> choose SCJD
if Web programming --> choose SCWCD

Bye & Regards,
