Greeting all!

Tomorrow is gonna be the day for me to sit for SCJP 5.0 exam. I spent almost 6 months to study for this cert. I didn't do much Java back then. Hopefully my effort doesn't go in vain. I'm sorta nervous now

I did all the mock exams from K&B's book, Heller's book, and some of the mock exams from javaranch. Is the level dificulty of K&B mock exams comparable to the actual exam? I did okay for the K&B mock exams (not so good, not so bad).

Wish me luck, guys!

The actual exam is not really tough but its quite balanced according to my standards...ive seen some posts specifying it to be an easy one...but its not as easy though....as i took it today...

cleared it and got 54/72 questions right.

I passed the exam with 79%. Yeah, the exam wasn't that tough actually. I should've scored more, I was kinda nervous this morning. Anyway, I'm quite happy with the score since I had a little Java experience before.

I would like to thank all of you and also Kathy and Bert for such a wonderful book. All of you guys rock.

I would also like to share some of my tips for those of you who are new to Java and are planning to do this exam.
1. Get a good Java book (I like Core Java book by Horstmann. It's a very good Java book)
2. Get a good certification book (definitely the book from K&B )
3. Do lots of coding and mock exams. Some of mock exams are bit too overkill if your aim is just to pass.

I plan to do either SCWCD or SCBCD. Which one should I go first?

Since I have a little experience with J2EE. The first thing I'm gonna do is to grab a good J2EE before getting any SCWCD or SCBCD book. Any good J2EE book that you guys can recommend?

Once again. Thank you all!
