First of all,

I would like to thank you all for the contributions in this forum.
I studied the HFSJ book (good but not enough to get a high rate) and "Mikalai Zaikin's SCWCD Study Guide" (really good notes with reliable informations, maybe a little dry, but just a little); if you go to Rancher Notes (http://faq.javaranch.com/view?ScwcdLinks) you can download this last document (it is really good).
I also took the JDiscuss 1.4 (http://www.jdiscuss.com/Enthuse/jsp/ShowAvailableTests.jsp).
You all know that everyone has a favorite way to study and their own tips, here is mine: "Take as much exercises as you can, before take the real exam".
I hope I could contribute.

Regards,

Great job Mauricio!

Bert

p.s. We'd like to hear of topics where you think the book didn't go into enough detail!

Head Fist does not cover:

- dynamic attributes
- the core tag library it is not covered completely

- and some other points you will just find when you take the tests (simulations).

That's why I strongly suggest you to take as many tests as you can.

Regards.

Thanks for that feedback Mauricio,

Our illustrious co-author, Bryan Basham wrote up a tutorial on dynamic attributes that you can find here:

Hi Alex,

Sorry, there is no legal pdf for this book! If you find such a thing it will be a pirated copy, ripping off the authors and the publisher

I think I speak for all authors when I ask that you not use pirated copies of copyrighted materials. In our case, we spent almost a year writing the Servlets book so the couple of dollars we get as a royalty for each book is very important to us!

Another way to think about this is that it's the same as if someone stole the code you spent a year writing!

hth,

Bert
