Hi everybody,
I'm just home from 'the test' and I got a real good score, 90%
It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, the fact the the number of possible answers is mentioned really helps you a LOT.
Also, its true about the drap 'n droppies, they do erase your answer when you want to review them, but you get a warning that says you so. I chose not to try it out
Thanks all ranchers for the help on the JSCP forum!

Now its time for some !!

thanks!! and woops
well you know what I mean
Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP) seems to be something war-related. I think I'll skip on that.

While I was there,a guy that came in after me said:"what do you mean they don't have it in french??" outch... he didn't understand 'anglais'.

I'm glad its over, and I know how little I know. Hopefully this gets me of C at work although I doubt it.

regards,
Mark

Impresive score, Congrats!

Are the questions explictly categorized according to the exam objectives?

Question 10 Test Objective: API
...
Question 20 Test Objective: Concurrency
...

7.(unclear) Does the exam show which SCJP objective a question belongs to?

Important items for taking SCJP 5.0 exam on the day

Congratulations!!! That's inspiring. I am studying too and hoping to take the test (and pass) in January! Hopefully I'll do as well as you. Wish me luck.

Good luck to you Andrew! Its gonna be hard to study during the Christmas and Newyear period but don't let it get to you! The feeling afterwards is all worth it!

to Bob CHOI : of course they don't mention the type of the question. But for most part, they just test your knowledge in a fair way. There is some tricky stuff, but with K&B and mocks (especially the K&B mocks) you'll have more than enough. They are not lying

my study 'path':

started reading K&B after the working hours september, october, until half november. Then I started doing some mocks from examulator and all I could find actually (don't let you get frightened by generics,K&B is enough, don't let you get carried away with mock exams that cover 1.4 stuff, focus on the objectives). I made a planning for the last 5 weeks: go over each chapter quickely and make the tests at the end of the chapter. The last week I took the week of and studied (well more experimented) all day long, together with posting and reading and problem solving with javaranch . I did my first K&B master exam on Tuesday (65%) were I learned to take my time and read the questions (!), and more importantly, that 175 minutes is more then enough. Well, the second I did on Thursday (75%) and there I took my time and tried not to fall for stupid syntax tricks. I didn't study to long the night before as advised (I didn't felt like it either).

Might K&B not 99% cover API questions to method level?
