Hello,

i have just cleared the SCWCD today.

to prepare the exam, i read several times HFSJ then i read twice as well
the Manning SCWCD Exam Study Guide.
i also did a lot of mocks exams found on the web.
i should blame a little HFSJ because it does not cover all the topics of the exam (there were a few questions in the real exam that only the SCWCD Exam Study Guide covered).
apart from this, HFSJ is a very helpful book to prepare this exam.
i even bought the HF EJB to prepare the SCBCD exam which i plan to take soon ...

Congrats Stephane, that's a really fine score!

We would like to hear about those topics you feel we did not cover! The only one I know of is dynamic attributes, for which Bryan posted a separate tutorial.

Thanks,

Bert

thanks to all

Bert,

ok, maybe i did not read deeply enough HFSJ (i am french so my apologies sometimes i dont understand everything ...) ,
but i think is HFSJ dont talk about dynamic attributes yes, then directives in tag files are not enough explained (for example the variable directive), then the variable attribute in the declaration of a tag in the TLD and the use of this (i got one question about using variable in a taglib) is not explained and there is not enough explanation about JSP pages as XML documents. And the beanName attribute is not really enough explained.
last point is it does not cover enough the distributable web applications.

Anyway, your book is really really good and i have to thank you for the great help it brought to me. I really agree with all the people who consider HFSJ is the best book to prepare for this exam.

Stephane
