I passed the SCJA exam with a score of 76% (39 out of 51) today.
It was about what I expected except I was a little surprised by the range of difficulty of the questions. It seemed some of the questions were rather obvious and others quite more in-depth than what I was used to on sample tests. I guess it's just the difference between what I was well-prepared for and wasn't.
Overall, it was a really good experience. As somebody new to the Java world, it helped me identify areas I still need to study before delving further into Java technology/development.
The ExamScam Certification Guide helped give me a good idea of the objectives and quickly get up to speed. I read through it twice. Overall, I prepared for a little less than a month. I also spent some time perusing the documentation and tutorials on Sun's site.

Awesome and congrats!
Seems like many people, including myself, are shocked at the difficutly of the questions.
There were many more actuall 'programming (syntax, looping, iterators) questions' than I expected, and they were more difficult than I had exected as well.
