Hi Folks,

I am happy to inform you all that i cleared SCWCD with 78% with a marginal period of one month preparation(not Bad as my scorecard is 54/69

A VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Kathy and Bert for their great SCWCD book, without which am not able to achieve this in such a less time.

I found the Custom Tags chapter as a little bit difficult in the book. I can understand how difficult it is if i refer some other book. Even then,i lost 6 out of 10 bits in Custom tags chapter

My sincere advice to all those who are attempting to the SCWCD is to prepare well with Kathy's book and also dont forgot to write as many programs as you can.

It would be great if anybody can advice regarding the following two.

1. Should i go for SCBCD 5.0 or 1.4 exam? ( since there is no Book from
Kathy for SCBCD 5.0)
2. which book is the best for SCDJWS.

Thanks in Advance,

Raghava.
SCJP 5.0 -- 96%
SCWCD 1.4 -- 78%

Congratulations!

Regarding SCBCD 5.0 vs. SCBCD 1.3 I recommend to learn what you will need for work. It is possible that you will only need one of those in your entire life (or even none). The differences are huge. I am a SCBCD 1.3, and I never needed any of this. I am quite sure that I never will.

Hi vijay,
Congratulations on pasing scwcd,

I want to do the same,do you have prior experience,i wanted to do it with in a short perid of time of 4 weeks.I just have 4-6 months exposure.

What do you think?will that be enough? i worried abt the same topics,Custom tags and EL. Is headfirst enough?or do i need to study the specs or any other tutorial.

Thanks for your reply,
Kalpana.
