Hello Ranchers,

As I got request from a few ranchers for the tips and advice so I thought of sharing these tips (which were helpful to me and fetched me 87% in just 25 days) with you all. These might be useful to you all for the prep-n of SCJP.

Concentrate on the basics / fundamentals.
Do as much of coding as possible. Try to execute the programs wherever you have doubt.
Go through SCJP Book by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates atleast twice throughly.
While reading the book mark out or underline the important points or even you should write notes or summary or things which you don't know on the pages. These turn out to be excellent notes for revising.
Execute as much code as possible, which you encounter while studying.
Also, do frequently revise from the tips and tricks by whizlabs (I am attaching the same), and from the notes available at->

I referred notes available at the second link. I think, the first one is also good.

Do revise many times the Two minutes Summary given at the end of each chapter of SCJP book by K & B and go through the exercises as many times as possible till you get 100% command over them.
Give Whizlabs test sincerely. Give them till you get 80% + in them. It is said that in the final exam, you will get +/- 5% marks than your Whizlabs mock tests. Generally it is on the +5% side. (During the last 2 Whizlabs test, I got 83% and 82% and in the final exam I got 87%.)
[ ILLEGALLY COPIED MATERIAL ] may also be useful as they also contain some good questions. Better if you can find [ ILLEGALLY COPIED MATERIAL ]

With SCJP book, there is a CD in which 2 mock test are available. They are very similar to Whizlabs. If you have sufficient time then you should also go through them.
Also, there is a link to get a free Master Exam and one practice test for SCJP exam from some osborne (Learn Key) site. [Refer: Page 800. Topic: Master Exam in the section About the CD.]

While checking for the answers of mock test, do make notes for the wrong answers which will help you for the last minute revision. I had made one while giving exam. I will be uploading that soon.

Wish you, all the best for the exam.

Please let me know whether these tips are of some help to you people.
