Hi everyone ,

i passed SCBCD 5.0 Today with 96 %

I used basically the following materials:

Enterprise Java Beans 3.0 (extensively used it)
Mastering EJB 3.0 (Partially)
EJB 3.0 Specs (Partially)
SCBCD 5.0 Study Guide by Mikalai Zaikin (extensively used it)

As for experience,i would say have got much of the thoery type in EJB 3.0, so found it quite hard in the exam proper. I even think i failed the drag and drop questions " Well may be ".

i want to thank the following: - my uncle Dr. Amon Okpala, Chinedu Efoagui, Musa Idurise Muhammad (Linux and EJB freek "This guy really likes EJB"), Cesare Osuji (Don Cesare) and Mikalai Zaikin for their individual efforts, support, encouragement.

Okpala,

Great job, congratulations!

Could you indicate what you read of the EJB specification?

and which chapters of Mastering EJB 3.0 did you read?

Abella,

Actually i started preparing for the beta exam in december with the Mastering EJB3.0 book and Specs which i read quite well but i wasn't convinced i was ready for the beta exam.

When i finally decided to write i read mostly Java persistence,Persistence Units and Persistence Contexts, Entity Operations and Contract & Lifecycle (Session Beans) for the EJB Specs because all the author made reference to them one way or the other.

And then Transactions,Exceptions and Security Management from Mastering EJB3.0.

And for O'rielly Enterprise Java Beans 3.0 and SCBCD 5.0 Study Guide by Mikalai Zaikin were straight to the point and very very helpful all the way....
