Hi,Rinku Rinku, welcome to Javaranch,

first things first, your name does not follow the Javaranch naming policy please change it here

now I think that success and failure go hand in hand, don't think you have failed, think of this as an experience and you can now identify precisely where you should put more effort. And rely more on practice rather than simply reading.

One more thing, now as you have joined this All In One Java Site, you will certainly find answers to all your questions and no one can stop you from getting certified the next time you try

Hope this helps

Many, many people do not pass the exam, but few admit it. Take plenty of mock exams, write lots of small programs, work for a month or so and re-take. Good luck.

There is no point in denying that it is a difficult exam. Even for very experienced programmers. I wouldn't be discouraged, just keep trying.

Eventually you'll get it.

More important than arriving the destiny is how you followed the path to reach your goal.
How many times you get something, but for being so easy you don't give it the deserved value?
When you achieve a difficult goal is when you really feel great. The same happens when you fail a test: after passing, you might forget the whole thing in a few weeks. But when you fail you'll never forget the points where your weakness are.

study SCJP 1.5 book (Kathy & Bert), and make small programs to test the concepts, it is going to help you a lot, and after that practice mock exams. This book is sufficient for the exam.

Hey congrates Rinku,

It's felt good to see you finally get passed
It's possible to prepare SCWCD in one month, if you have previous knowledge of JSP and servlets.

I was talking to some people at a training organisation recently and they commented that the SCJP has a lower pass rate than many other exams, so congratulations on a big achievement in passing.

Passing SCJP .. it depends on the version 1.4 or 1.5.

SCJP 1.4 is very easy exam as compared to 1.5. and I have seen every body who wants can do SCJP 1.4. Never heard of any body failing this exam.

and finally it does not matter for most of the recrutiers if you are 1.4 certified or 1.5 certified... so if you wanna try easy way out, go for SCJP 14.
