Hi,

I appeared for the scjp on 24th may and scored 63 % only is the score sufficient or shud I appear again.
I had worked very hard but think that that the drag and drop and option of compilation fail and Runtime exception made the difference.

If it wasn't respectable, Sun Microsystems wouldn't send you a certification saying that you have met all of the rigorous requirements that they have set to qualify as a Certified Programmer.

The SCJP certification isn't a joke. It's a darn tough exam, and thousands of people fail it every day. Each of those people would have loved to pass with a 63%!

Enjoy your accomplishment, be proud of what you have done. Passing the SCJP exam isn't an insignificant accomplishment, regardless of the score.

I'm with Cameron. I think anyone at all who passes has demonstrated a thorough knowledge of Java, and the enthusiasm and determination to pass a tough exam.

Aries,

Even i got only 65%,i am not bothered about the score because sun itself certified me as SCJP then why should one bother.

I suggest you go for higher level certifications and make a big score.

Hey Aries,

Just to reiterate, take this excerpt from the K&B book Introduction: "The Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) exam is considered one of the hardest (if not the hardest) in the IT industry..."

Kathy and Bert just wrote a book that would cover the topics on one of the toughest certifications you can see in the industry. And you've just cleared this exam.. Again.. Congratulations dude!! -Jart Bo
