Hi! Today I passed the SCJP 6.0 exam - it was nice and fun! My overall score was 88 % with section analysis as such:
Declarations, initialization and scoping - 100 %
Flow control - 90 %
API Contents - 90 %
Concurrency - 100 %
OO Concepts - 90 %
Collections / Generics - 90 %
Fundamentals - 63 %
I was very surprised with a high note for API (I didn't have much practice with all these DateFormat, Scanner, Locale etc. things), but apparently the questions were not so tricky. I was even more surprised with so little points for fundamentals. I must admit, they were the trickiest part, but I think I underestimated that section while studying. Anyway, I'm very happy!

For those of you still studying, what I can say:
- K&B is more than enough to study for the exam. And the tests there are a perfect practice before the real exam, which is a bit easier AND the number of correct answers is given.
- This exam simulator helped me, too: http://www.examulator.com/phezam/selectsubject.php
- Don't be afraid to take SCJP 6.0 instead of 5.0. The difference is about an hour or two of additional studying. I think I had only one (very simple) question from the 6.0 scope.
- On the exam take your time. I took mine and still finished 1,5 h early.

Good luck to all of you!

Hearty Congratulations.........!!!
Great job yaar.

I am going to take SCJP 6 on 28th (can postpone it to 30th) of this month.
I have never studied for SCJP and have almost lost the hope.
I dont know, but your post have somehow inspired me!!!

Actually, I have to clear SCJP before joining my first job.
I have started studying K&B and will now rely wholly on it.
Its high time for asking any sort of guidance, but please help me if you can.

If unable to clear this exam, there are good chances of me being fired before joining. I am very, very nervous...

Please help...

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot Bhushan - don't worry, if you already started studying and have some experience in programming, then I think that whole two days with K&B should give you a high chance to pass. Thumbs up and after you take your exam, please, post the result!
