Lack of preparation

Read Head First(1.4) - Was unable to read/study chapter 8,9,10,13,14

Read SCWCD Revision Notes - Fredric Esnault

Read Marc Peabody's Design Pattern Notes

No Mock Exams

About a 10 days preparation around 6-8 hrs per day

Scored the following

The Servlet Technology Model - 66%
The Structure and Deployment of web applications - 75%
The Web Container Model - 100%
Session Management - 57%
Web application security - 83%
JSP Technology Model -80%
Building JSP Pages using EL - 60%
Building JSP Pages using Standard Actions - 25%
Building JSP Pages using Tag Libraries - 37%
Building a Custom Tag Library - 40%
J2EE Patterns - 100%

- Most questions were from JSP / Tags / EL etc (
- Design Patterns I think around 7 or 8
- Security
- Nothing from Filters
- 3-4 Drag and Drops (Url writing mainly)
- Basic questions - Get/Post methods, writing urls
- Session Management 6-7 Questions
- 3-4 Questions from Chapter 11

Thank god my voucher has a retake promotion

Started studying again.. Hoping to give the exam in another 3 weeks.. This time with better preparation Hopefully

Just concentrate on the areas where you lost most of your marks!

Good luck next time.

You almost got it.

Now it is your chance to study more mocks. (Final Head First Servlets & JSP mock has many good questions). Better luck next time

Don't give up! You're close. Very close. Sometimes, people get really tough question sets out of the pool. A different pool set, maybe you would have scored 80%...Who knows...

Just keep studying!
