Howdy Ranchers.

Appeared today for the SCJP and managed 86%.

Thanks much to all of you. I've been mostly a lurker, but following the threads of those who posted and responded was a big help.

Here's my five-step three-month plan for SCJP success, for those who might be interested:

0. 3 months out: Read the K&B book at a leisurely pace
1. 2 weeks out: re-read K&B, chapter a night, noting self-test questions missed
2. 2 days out: read Dave Allen's excellent notes: http://holoquest.org/other/scjp5_webnotes.html
3. morning of: review step 1 q's missed, and review Dave's notes.
4. knock it out of the park

Good luck guys.

Best,
Mike

And knocked out the SCWCD yesterday. Pretty much the same algorithm for pretty much the same result (85%). Thanks again to fellow ranchers, and especially Kathy, Bert and Bryan for the awesome book. You guys really have accomplished something special, making learning this stuff not just painless but fun. And I think I'm actually going to miss hot bitchy know it all servlet girl. Perhaps I've just shared too much. In any case, I'm looking to do Core Spring next ... could you guys maybe go ahead and whip up Head First Spring??
