Hi Ranchers,

Today (Oct 6th, 2008) I cleared SCJP 5.0 with 69/72 = apprx 95.83%.

Thanks for such a vibrant forum and thanks KS&BB for such an amazing book.

A little about my prep. I started my prep in sept (rather Aug 30 or something, when I came to know that I've to take exam). I had to do it in such a short span as the voucher was going to expire on Oct 7th, 2008 (It was purchased by a friend of mine long time back.. now that's a different and long story). Although I have been working in java for about three years now, there were so many things I found, which I was totally unaware of.

Anyways, It took about a month to complete the book (Along with my full-time job). I really kept scoring low in book's Test question and master exam. I took mock tests for about a week. The biggest thing that makes difference is writing programs. I am planning to share those small programs very soon. Javaranch was also a great help. Keeping a watch on the topics posted as much as possible helps a lot.

Once again thanks all!

Do you find the questions too easy or is it okay?

Thanks LS . most of the questions were easy. Only a few were bit complex. you can say 80% were easy.

For others, one more thing I would say about test: even if you complete the test in 2 hours or something, review all the questions (apart from marked ones) at least once. I found out one or two mistakes in this round. Also dont hurry to leave. Utilize the whole time.
