Hey I was wondering
1)if any of you have written this exam
2) who has read Programming with VisualAge for Java Version 3.5 (IBM Redbooks)or
Effective VisualAge(r) for Java, Version 3 (Wiley press)
I haven't been able to find much information about this exam on the web, and any feedback would be great.
Thanks

I have read both of those books ... one you can download as a redbook from ibm.com. Since WebSphere Studio Application Developer is the successor to VAJ4 (for example, there will not be a VAJ5) how relevant do you think VAJ certification is?

Tom,
A very good question.
I am trying to get into a Java shop which currently runs JBuilder, but apparently there is a new IBM influence.
I have worked with V age 2.0,3.0+3.5 so I am kindof hoping that the exam wont be that alien to me (and judging from Bruce Yu's posting it might be well suited for me).
I could be wrong but wouldnt a V age cert (which is very real world) be more advantageous then an educational cert.
To add my two cents, I really dont know if it is worth it but I am going to do it anyway.
any learning is good learning

guys : what all do you say about VAJ and WebSphere Studio Certifications? Are they really worth it? How many people appear for them?

I love a good mentalist. And so does this tiny ad:
Two software engineers solve most of the world's problems in one K&R sized book
