The questions on IBM's test exam 488
(Websphere 4.0 Specialist)
has questions whose answers can NOT
be found in the IBM websphere manuals.
It is a bogus test with way to much
EXCRUCIATING detail. So much for helping
business partners be more profitable.
It appears IBM is more interested in keeping
their partners good programming talent busy
studying trivial details about the inner workings
of ejb containers, rather than simply helping
developers focus on the pumping out useful code
for their customers.
I took test 488 and passed, but I would want to
make clear, way to much time is spent on finding
answers their own manuals do not even provide.
Note to IBM:
Either test material which you document
(or have specific references to)
or
Dont put it on your tests at all!
Thank you,
Michael

Hi Michael,
I agree with your note to IBM. By the way, where did you find specific references to prepare the exam? Could you please give some Url or book names? Thanks,
Ren

I strongly agree with the cow-doc.
this ice-thing drive me nuts, too.
I am prepairing for 158, which is follower of 488.
These questions, these super-quick replacing of exams gives me an impression of arrogance.

It looks like , we all share the same view...i think the exam is not worth all the effort. Infact with this effort we can clear the Java Architect exam....which has more value in long run...and WILL IBM ASK ALL PARTNERS TO DO WAS 5.0 WITH NEW EXAM SOON...REMEMBER WAS5.O INCLUDES SUPPORT FOR MQ Series....
